Fuji Jpeg Film Emulation Recipes

Great Topic :).

It's a pity that you can't save the white balance shifts in camera.

Does anyone know how to remove recipes in RAW studio?
You can save WB shifts, it's just specific to each recipe.

When building a new recipe adjust the WB in the regular white balance adjustment in the shooting menu, then build the custom setting and save the white balance you just set.

You have to change your current white balance via for each preset. Hope this helps!
correct! have the same findings. WB is part of the presets and can be saved accordingly.

I do have different AUTO WB settings in my presets, there is no global setting.
Hey

Above you say that WB is part of the presets and can be saved accordingly.

Do you mean "presets in X-Raw studio" or "in camera"?

I have the X-T3 and WB shift is applied to all presets or 'recipes' as it's called here. I'd love to apply WB shift to a particular custom color setting but that's impossible on the X-T3 in my understanding.

Thanks
Different WB to each preset in the camera! But I learned it depends on the camera firmware. X-E3 was the first with that upgraded firmware. My X100v also has this possibility.

In my X-T20 was one global WB auto setting, but two additional custom WB settings possible. So in total three (if you set them to auto). For the presets i could choose between these three WB auto. Still better than only one global.

I think you mean X-Pro3 not X-E3. I would love my X-E3 to be able to do it but there has not been a firmware upgrade for this that I am aware of.

Yes you are right. However, it has become implemented with the newer cameras.

I hope this feature will come with FW at least for X-T3 and X-T30.

Dear All,

I am big fan of FujiFilm cameras and the Film Simulations. I have a FujiFilm X-T4 and I am loving it.

The google sheet its a good idea to keep track of the Film Simulation Recipes around the internet but its not a easy way to check when you are on the field and you want to use a specific Film Simulation Recipe that you didn't save in your camera.

I have created a simple site with practicality and easy of use in mind so that we all can check on our smartphones the Film Simulation Recipes.

Please note that the site is in beta mode and under construction, and at this time it's only possible to list and search for the Film Simulation Recipes.

Feel free to send me some comments and critics so that we can improve the site and its functionalities.

Thanks and best regards,

Adelmo

Hello,

Thanks for checking the site and I know that is very far from being good or even perfect and this is why I need your comments and critiques.

Well done! It is nice to have it!

Now is time, someone to create Android app with web view of this site :)

But will be even better if Fuji add the option to save more simulations, on the sd-card, if there is no more memory in the camera :)

PS - why not the option to save them in the Fuji app, and load them from there. I think this can be a great feature for the next Kaizen.

Hello,

Thanks for the feedback.

The initial idea was to develop an iOS app that could interact with the camera and somehow pass the Film Simulation options directly to it.

Great idea! Is there Fuji API or module, to be used in such an app?

Hi,

I believe that there is no such API to interact with the FujiFilm cameras but I can be wrong.

Thanks,

Adelmo
Sorry for the up a post that some time ago, but this is interesting.

Precisely, I saw some time ago in Kickstarter a device named Arsenal 2 (https://witharsenal.com/), that do this in some way. This device is supposed to do IA adjustments and so on, but if they can do it, maybe it's possible to do it with a phone and tethering mode or something similar.

In the other hand, I'm new to Fuji world and I'm in love not only with emulation recipes, but recipes in general, it's a wonderful way to shoot, and the spreadsheet doc it's a very good idea, and I would love more official Fujifilm interaction with the community in this way.

Hello,

If you like Fujifilm film simulations you have to check FujiXWeekly app, it’s available on the Apple App Store.

How about this link ? The number of possible combinations for film simulations is incredibly high; this website generates random ones for you out of 18+ billion combinations.
