Always a treat to see your images Roger. I've never seen these birds prior to your post and you did a excellent job.
Thanks very much Jim.

Excellent macro shots, with sharp details. Love the way the light falls on the bee in the second image.

Looks like the experiment worked quite well, Bruce. It also gave me an idea of the size of the warbler, which I thought were slightly bigger. Great results with all the birds.

Excellent images. The details look great in both images.

Sharp details in both images and you've caught the iridescence beautifully.

Unfortunately, you're a bit too far off to get really good images. I know getting closer isn't always easy and often its not possible. Too bad, as they could have been a great series.

Great setting for the geese and goslings. They are very cute.

sat very still at river level my back against the river bank blending in with the green bushes and trees hoping that the very young kingfisher would turn up

and yes after about 40 minutes my dream had come true he or she lands in the tree straight in front of me about 15 feet away

the trouble is my camera is on my lap and i am scared to lift it up to my face, the bird stares me straight in the face i quickly look down into the river i did not want to stare back at the bird a few seconds later it looks the other way

now i quickly bring the camera up to my face it looks at me again and seeing its a young bird and does not know what's really going on it stays for a while then moves down onto the river bed

Good job Bassy..these are beauties!

You're patience paid off. Lovely images of the young kingfisher.

Excellent images of the adult swans and the cygnets, which are quite cute.
