*** This Week Through Your Eyes 2020.05.16 ***

Both your pictures, although good, look a bit tonally flat to my eye. No true blacks or whites. If that's what you intended then fine, just saying.

I was definitely looking for a faded effect in the Boy picture, so that's fine, the other one not so much, so you may well be right ... !

Looks pretty good anyway! I suppose there are few people there at the moment? Must be good to be able to enjoy your country without so many visitors :-)
Yes, used to be crowded, now only a handful.... I'm taking the opportunity to travel around the country this summer ... something that I've not done during the past few years.

Lovely photo and glad to see a sunny day.

Excellent photo, great light!

Interesting Orchid, never seen one. Another sign of Spring.

Agreed! Wish they could bring back!!!

Excellent set! What a pretty bird.

Pretty. Wisterias are lovely when in bloom.

California native plants in my garden are beginning to attract butterflies.

Painted Lady on a Verbena flower (Verbena lilacina). A opportunistic view of both top and bottom of the forewings, showing the identifying spots.

Early mornings and evenings in my garden are wonderful times spent during these strange times.

Lovely photos! How many flowers will you get on the Peruvian Cactus?

Good job on removing the cars. Wish I could master that. Blue Door, Blue Sky works for me. It looks like someone "forgot" to return that ocean container. Very creative door in it😊

Interesting spring flowers - very different from here in Minnesota.

It's been a very dry spring here in Minnesota - until today. It was pretty grey all day yesterday and started raining late afternoon. This morning we had 3" in the gauge and it's still raining. Took a bunch of spring flower photos yesterday, and, this one of a Gold Finch sitting in our crab apple tree today (inspiring the title).

I liked the contrast of the bright yellow gold finch to the greens and pinks of the crab apple in bloom.

These guys are probably loving today's rain.

My E-M1 iii and 12-100 might not mind the rain, but, I'm happy not to be laying in the wet grass to get this in-camera stack.

All shots SOOC.

With all this rain the garden should really be taking off soon...
