Everyone knows that propower kit for digicams. I'm keen to know if the S10 dummy battery will fit into it somehow to solve that question of battery drain.

Maybe canon's next cameras could have a normal adapter socket like other companies.

Anyway if there's a solution to connecting the S10 to portable powersources then I'm very interested.

Thanks in advance

no problem. 5 NiMH cells and you have a hi capacity battery pack. Obviously you would need to find a smart charger from somewhere

iGo comp. sells PowerPak (45205) Claims 500 picturs with flash. You can splice in with DC Coupler DR-100A, or have special adopter to plug together.

The iGo website: http://www.iGoCorp.com and the phone 1-800-228-8374 The PowerPack good for any digital camera with power socket. It comes supplied with cable and three adopters. I have my order in I will splice mine wihth dummy( not realy)DC-Coupler DR-100a, supplied with Canon battery charger DK110. As you know, Canon S10 dont have any power socket.

Norman,

But is the powerpack putting out the same amount of juice that is
necessary to power the S10? Or is it adjustable? If it put out too muchj
juice, it could fry the S10 and deem the warranty void and null under
the agreements of the warranty.

Please let us know when you get the powerpack the performance and how
it works out? You can be our guinea pig! ;)
