Who is excited for the iphone 9/se2?

Really glad the touchID is back, not a huge fan of faceID. For anyone who preordered their phone and is receiving it today, I would love to hear your initial thoughts on the phone
I have no problem with touch id but the new phone doesn't have a proper home button like the original SE. I'm sure I'll get used to it but at the moment its the most annoying thing about the new phone.
The original Touch ID was introduced with iPhone 5s and came with iPhone 6 and SE. Touch ID v2 came with iPhone 6s, 7, 8 and now SE 2020. I am sure we'll get used to it, those of us still on the 6, and SE upgrading to the new SE 2020.
I have the 7 and touch is no real issue; you're afforded 3 levels of touch so you can customize it to preference.

Anyone know when the Apple stores are opening? I live in an apt in a shady city neighborhood where packages are regularly stolen and don't want the risk not getting it. Ironically the Apple store is about 5 minutes away.

Someone had to be at home to accept the package when mine was delivered.

Once you get used to the "home button" you will never want a true button again. I have worn out buttons and then you have no touch ID after replacement. You can't wear out the button on the phone now.

Perhaps - but my old SE was 4 years and 1 month old when I shipped it back at the weekend and the home button still worked perfectly.

Only if you get your replacement through a third party.
Ok, I was under the undserstanding it was everywhere.
It's in more places now but still not everywhere. The places must have a Horizon Machine.

"While a cracked screen can be replaced by skilled technicians without the machine, if there is any damage to the Touch ID sensor, or the device has a fully laminated screen, the Horizon Machine is needed to synchronize the new Touch ID sensor, with the motherboard, and the Secure Enclave. Failure to do so disables the feature, and prevents authorization through the sensor."
