April 2020 Part 1 -- This Month Through Your Adapted Lens

Nice shadow play in the first, and good use of the ultra wide in the second.

Yes! These 100/2.8s are very nice indeed. I had one of these practically glued onto my camera for a good while until I found an RE Auto-Topcor 100mm f/2.8 to compare to it. I recently found out that they are at least extremely similar if not optically identical , with the Topcor having better build quality and different coatings (Topcor's build is more refined and has a slight IQ advantage as a result).

This particular Vivitar can be found under several(!) different brand names with a few variations in build. Here is a thread I started on this breed of Vivitar 100mm f/2.8:

Spoiler: I still don't know for sure what manufacturer churned these out.
WOW, that is really a lot of information keeping in view that I found little while searching with Google. Thanks.

Essentially Vivitar/Elicar/Rokunar/... 90mm f2.8 by Komine.

I saw the backlit flowers are really beautiful under the early morning sun, so I grabbed my camera and went out to the backyard. During this few-minute gap, the sun moved and the backlight was gone partially. Luckily, the sun was still shining on the glass with the reflection of the morning dew. This lens even has slightly bubble-like bokeh.

Last month I shared an image of a northern mesquite lizard (Sceloporus grammicus microlepidotus). I commented that around here they are known as lagartijas de árbol or tree lizards, and a few days ago I found out why.

I was looking out of one of my apartment windows and saw this little fellow perhaps a meter away on the tree that grows just outside. My window is 10 meters above the ground.

Note the blue belly; this is a male.

Alan

Well done!

Took my 1959 Jupiter-12 for a spin.

I think f/4.

No, really. Post no new photos. Part 2 started a while ago.
