An invitation to all members to dust off your precious glass and head out to take some pictures: the real reason for the existence of all those lenses in the first place.

Here are the guidelines
  • Images with a removable adapter between lens and camera
  • Images with the lens mount permanently modified to fit a different camera
  • Images with the lens held by hand without an adapter (freelensing)
Including metadata (camera, lens, aperture, shutter speed) is encouraged but not required.

Can you spot the spider?

It's spring flower time of year. And I bought a Macro Takumar 50mm by accident (long story). Here are my first attempts at macro flower pictures ...

I love this lens. Macro is sooooo challenging, but absorbing. Having good light (last 20 min of sunlight on an otherwise grey & wintry day) made such a difference.

Full gear list: Fuji X-T20, K&F Concepts M42 adaptor, SMC Macro Takumar 50mm f/4. Fuji Velvia film simulation applied in post, along with other tweaks and a little cropping here & there. (The EXIF data probably says 28mm, but that's because I forgot to change it).

Not exactly studio quality pet photography, but too cute not to share.

That's supposed to be a pig costume.

Sigma 70-200/2.8 HSM Macro II w\LAEA3 on A7m2

And no, she's not bothered by the costume as long as it comes with treats.

Great pictures! Is that the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow?
Thanks :) I did some quick lens testing on an overcast day and close by, and ended up actually liking some of the photos :P

No, that is Church of Saint Sava[1] in Belgrade, Serbia. But you weren`t too far off, the two supposedly being among the largest Orthodox church buildings in the world[2].

Weather forecast for my morning dog walk today stated a temperature of zero and no chance of snow. Well, at least the temperature prediction was right!

No weather-sealing on my camera, so it spent a fair bit of time tucked safely inside my jacket. The snow came down pretty heavy - but once the flurries died down, could see that it had only fallen around the hill I was walking on. There was a distinctive snowline visible further down the hill.

Anyways, these were all taken with a Minolta MD 50mm f/1.7, my favourite lens (I come back to this lens time and time again).

One thumb up for the lens and another two thumbs up for the model. :)
Thanks! I think it's a mix of Labrador and Weimaraner (mother is a brown Labrador, and the father is a Silver Labrador).
