So according to fuji rumours the x-t3 will see a firmware update this summer that will bring a significant number of x-t4 features.

Hopefully that will put an end to all the whining about the death of Fuji’s updates.

Also another article once again saying the x-h2 is coming.

so hopefully that cuts out most of the whining.

This list reminds me of my ex-wife whose motto was "to whine is to live." There is a reason she is my ex.

Do count of the whining to ever die. :-D

Indeed.

Sadly, I have my doubts. The X-T3 just got a firmware update that increased its AF speed, and face/eye detection. A lot of folks here seem to have forgotten all about it, or maybe to them, it doesn't count, as it isn't another film sim. (Which most will never use anyway, because they are constantly reminding everyone that THEY ONLY SHOOT RAW!)

Its been speculated, but now that the X-T4 has IBIS the only way the X-H2 makes sense as a separate body is if it becomes their high-res camera with that new Sony sensor.

Or a more sports/heavy duty oriented body. From the specs I read the X-T4's buffer is still kind of limited and although the grip is bigger (good addition), it's not as deep as the X-H1's. Plus if they were to put a sensor with a bumped up readout speed for when on uses the E.S., mixed with all the current and future AF innovations I think it could be a compelling offer. I could for example see an event photographer rock an X-T4 with the 16-55 and the X-H2 with say a 50-140 or a 100-400. (Some may say using different bodies is not a good idea, I personally never found this to be an issue. )

How is XT3 zone AF after latest firmware update? XT20 is sometimes abysmal.

It's alright, but I think the person you were responding to was referring to the fact, that this update will probably come by this summer (The FR website says the same thing).

It is fake. X-t3 is no longer going or get updates after that disappointing one that ga e no significant improvement in af and face detection (still among the worse around)

I totally agree. Use the XT-3 with a stabilized lens and the new X-T4 with primes. I love the 90 F2 but you really have to be aware of the shutter speed and shutter shock.

The XH1 is such an incredible deal now, even with the battery grip. If X-mount was open to third party lenses I think I'd go Fuji immediately. Can't wait to see what the XH2 brings.

FR says that the firmware described as in page I sent is a fake, we should not expect any update soon. "Something will eventually come" but there is no indication of what it can be; i.e., nothing new, yes firmware updates do come regularly.

Yes. Here is a quote from the FR wesite

Here is the rumor we received from sources (thanks):
  • a significant number of the new features in X-T3 successor will be introduced to X-T3 via firmware updates in the spring/summer
So, there will be eventually one, but the wait is definitely longer, and Fujifilm is NOT editing their firmware page right now, as the firmware has still to be developed

So we'll see.
