First,

The Vick shot was last year against the Bungels, his break-out game. That was after a touchdown drive. My son (who lives in Atlanta, He's from Cincinnati, I still am) had gotten third row 50 yard tickets when the Bungels were in Atlanta last year.

The zoo shots were Canon 75-300 III USM. Most were with a tripod. My lenses are kit, 50, 35-80 (Adams favorite el cheapo) and the above. I have an 80-200 4.5~5.6 USM coming from KEH, again one that Adam champions http://www.mankman.com/Lens_Tests/lens_framework.html ; I picked one up rated excellent at KEH for $53 I figured for a lens I can put in my pocket it has to be worth that. Thanks for the compliment.
What a great gallery you've got. I really like the zoo shots as
well as the nature ones. What lens did you use for those zoo shots?
Nice shot of Vick too. Is that him while he was/is injured?

Brian
I think you probably like the Rebel. Brian I agree with you. I
think the kit lens is a fine performer, at least for me. I think
allot of people knocked it just because of the perceived build
quality. We all knew we weren't going to get an L lens for a C
note. Great start, enjoy.

astonishing shots! did you do some post processing? the "duck1" shot is very sharp and clean!
All shots taken with the kit lens. I'd have to say so far that the
lens does a great job considering the price and weight. CA does
seem to creep up on some shots though. But I don't even think I'm
tempted by the 17-40L, although I'm sure my virgin eyes aren't
trained in what to look for.

Not the greatest images on this forum or anything, but here they are:

Oh, and the last 2 shots were taken with a flipped 50mm 1.4 pentax
lens flipped and placed in front of the kit lens. This gets me
closer. The duck shot was slightly cropped.

Thanks Regie.

Most of the shots, I did some levels, and maybe slight curves. I then resized and sharpened slightly.

The duck shot is cropped about 20%, but I was suprised at how clean that shot was compared to my older camera.
