Lovely girl and very good B&W conversion.

I do find the bright window behind and to left of the girl's head a little distracting though.

I agree.

I would also consider cropping in from the right to a square, or even a vertical. There is a lot of dead space which does not add to the photo. The light box on the wall on the right is also a distraction.

Regards,

Nice picture.
The back reflection should be removed though.

Actually, the file was shot in black and white - no conversion involved. I do concur with your observations about the highlight behind the model's head - most distracting indeed.

Yes, I realised the original file was a B&W capture. When I say “conversion”, I’m usually thinking of post work included in the final image. As far as I recall, when Leica were selling the original Monochrom cameras they included a copy of Silver Efex Pro in the sale.
However, you may be right in that the image could be a straight out of the camera jpeg.

Yes, and as another poster pointed out the light box on the wall to the right is also a minor distraction .

Overall though, I think it’s a good image (that could be improved even more in post).

thanks all for your comments. they are appreciated. I do agree that the light box in the back is a bit distraction, the highlight in that area can be reduced to minimize the distraction. I would not crop, the space on the subject's left adds to the story, she was standing in front of an altar in a temple. thanks again.
