The color original was turned into B&W via Hue/saturation/brightness w/ colorize selected, then some gradiant burning to darken back ground.

I am pretty happy with the result, but I'm wondering if I should have stuck with color version, and maybe cropped it a little for a more balanced composition.

I'd be pleased with any comments you might have.

Sincerely,
David

I prefer the color but you might make the b&w better by not making the shadows so dark?

Adam,

Thanks for the comment. It does seem a little dark viewed on the web on my monitor here at work. It looks better at home.

I like the b+w just because of the shadows and lighting effect. You're given more character and mystery to the shot, as oposed to a boring simplistic picture.
