insta sketch Dogs and cats

Love seeing all the neat insta sketch art work. After noticing how neat the cat looked in Wileys pic of " My daughter hates this photo",( daughter looked great too) I was wondering if anyone else had tried it on a dog or another cat.

How did it work out?

I haven't downloaded the action yet.

i did a cat last night and it turned out fine. the action does well on anything, but best on buildings, people, especially if the quality is good. LOL I haven't uploaded the cat to pbase or I would show you the pic.

I tried tracing my cat last night, but he wouldn't hold still long enough.

Seems to work on just about anything if you play around with it.

I kinda thought the cat looked neat, and so do the others.

Nice gallery. Loved Papa's truck. Thought it would look neat as an insta sketch. Just a thought.

Yes I did Kat. He knows when the camera is about to be used, and he will strike the silliest of poses. He does not really appreciate pictures being taken without his being the focal point.

I didn't really do anything extra for the color, except to up the contrast after I was done. The one thing I did differently here was, after running the sketch action, I overlaid it above the result of another watercolor action. Then I partially masked out the areas that I thought had too much of the "crosshatch" pattern visible. Kind of risky, because it can start to make it look more like a water color than a sketch.
