Just when I thought Christmas was finished...

Tremendous work. I love it when an outing just results in so many times where your creativity just clicks all around. Congrats on a real harvest.

And I agree about the subtlety of tonal changes being successfully captured by Foveons over other sensors: some of my better shots are almost monochromatic, that turn out as smoothly graduated as nice BWs, but the Foveon detection picks up the not just the light to dark in a colour, but the increase and decrease in secondary hues, such as in skies and clouds and foliage changes that others simply can't.

Thanks again for some real inspiration.

Thanks for the kind words and I can only agree about the foveon sensors, the problem I have is going back to a bayer sensor (for specific reasons) and being ultimately disappointed in the results compared to my SD Quattro.

Thanks Joris, I have a couple of dust spots but I can usually see them, but maybe not on this occasion?

I see at least 6 in the sky, most obvious at top edge centre (2nd shot).Too doddery to DIY it, I've had my sensor cleaned by Sigma 3x over the years; now I just clone dust spots out till it's annoying enough to pay another €35. So maybe I'm a bit over-sensitive........;-)

I see the one in the middle at the top, I usually just clone them out when I see them, I obviously didn't look too hard on this shot, I'll give it a tidy up. When I first got my SD it had quite a bit of debris behind the dust cover, I hoovered it out (literally), obviously it needs another clean, hoover time again.
 
I enjoyed seeing these. Excellent work from the sdQ !
 
Thanks for making and posting all of these very nice and enjoyable images. They are also excellent examples of what the sdQ can do.
