While waiting for my ordered XPro-3 to arrive I’m auditioning the ONA Rockaway and the Peak Design V2 10L sling bag. As I don’t have the camera yet I really can’t review them But I thought some Fujifilm fans might like to see them.

I don’t know about Fuji fans but I’ve had and been using daily the Peak Design V2 10l sling for about a week now and I have to say, I’m very impressed with it. I use it for a Nikon Z6 and it’s a great size for that with other bits. Lots of nice care and attention to detail.

I bought it as much as a daily bag for work as a camera bag and it’s filling that dual role really well. Even in daily work use, I can pop in the camera for discrete carry. The folding dividers make it very flexible in use and are far superior to the usual foam padded dividers in other makes.

I’m not sure I’d want to carry a 13” laptop in it as it seems a bit tight for that though I guess one might fit. I'd also note that this is a deceptively tall bag in that its deeper than it really looks. It comfortably also holds my 70-200mm f/4 lens with the FTZ adapter attached. That's 22cm or nearly 9" long. Quite a lot of smaller sling bags won't do that.

PD did a very good job on this bag.

My only concern with the Peak Design Sling 10L V2 is the tight fit of my 2018 12.9" iPad Pro. The curved top of the bag, by the main zipper makes it difficult to get in and out. I do wonder if the bag will "relax" a little.

As I noted I don't have my new camera body yet, So, I can't really give it a true shakedown. I did contemplate returning it but I like it too much. This isn't my first Peak Design bag, so I think the V2 models do offer well thought out improvements.

I think the design of the bag is great. As you suggest I don't think I'll relegate it to simply carry camera gear. It is that good.

If you’re not set on either bag, I’ll just add my 2 cents that the Billingham Hadley Pro is a great option too. I’ve had mine for about a month now, and it is quite versatile. The sizing is much closer to the PD 10L than the Rockaway. It fits my Canon EOS R with 3 lenses, and a 70-200 f/4 with adapter just fits vertically. It even holds my 13” MacBook Pro (snugly if with the camera) when needed.

I’m sure you’ll be happy with any of these bags, but I liked that the Hadley had less depth than the PD (so it looks less bulky) and looks more professional (I got the all black version) when I‘m in a more formal setting. Good luck deciding!

The Hadley Line sure is beautiful. Thanks for the recommendation!

Yes, as I noted I do think that size laptop / tablet is pushing it. I have the 10.5” iPad Pro and that’s ok but it’s not a big bag and that’s part of the plus for me. These things are always a compromise! But overall, this bag really exceeded my expectations and that is unusual.

The canvas version is listed on the Ona website. It looks very nice.

Wow! I actually think I like the canvas better. I’m hoping the leather version I have will go a little darker with use. Thanks for the update on canvas!
Have you been able to use the Ona bag yet? I’m curious about your thoughts on it.
I’ll stick some lenses in it tomorrow, and walk it around, and then post some pictures. My Fujifilm XPro-3 hasn’t arrived yet and sold my other camera bodies to fund it. So, I haven’t had a reason to tote it anywhere.

I've been using the Peak 10L for about a year now, mostly for concerts at small clubs. I have it configured into three columns with the fold/flap dividers, pretty much like you have it pictured. I bought an extra pair of the fold/flap dividers that I installed to double up the included ones, this makes the bag a little stiffer. I mounted the extra dividers back to back to each of the included ones, this gives me a flap that can fold to the inside if I need that.

I use a Sony a99ii with grip attached and it fits snugly into the center. Using the flaps I carry four primes, two on each side. I lined the bottom with a strip of bubble wrap and a strip of memory foam. I don't know if that was necessary, but it give me a little extra confidence. Overall, when packed with my standard kit it is nice and snug, even when the camera and a lens are out (leaving just three lenses in the bag).

It can handle a mosh pit at a Lightning Bolt concert, including the expected beer and sweat :)
