Seriously considering X100f, but I think my X100 T served good on this scene. His name is Milo and he is a 9 year old jack russell.

If you are happy with the camera then it is good enough.

Jack Russells prefer Nikon and you should know that with the expression on Milo's

face, poor thing

Wait until your Jack Russell brings you his first mouse - if he hasn't already. :)

Woof.

I recently picked up a used X100T (nice upgrade over my S, also bought used). It's a great little camera.

I guess it comes down to where you feel the T falls short, as it doesn't seem to be in the image quality department.

Cheers

Honestly, my biggest gripe is autofocus. When my 2,5 year old drives the bike is pretty hard to track. I use BBF to prefocus but with various success. And battery life is abysmal.

So, If F gives me improvement on that two things, I would go for it.

Those were the reasons for me to upgrade from the T to the F. Battery life is definitely better but AF tracking although better is still not good enough for kids. At least it's not that much better than the T.

I still use my old method for my kid. Single shot AF and highest burst speed. I have more success this way than with tracking or continuous AF.

Single? Do you prefocus or use large f number?

Thanks

I lock focus and immediately shoot a burst of frames. Aperture is usually smaller than F4

What‘s wrong with this picture that could be improved by the X100F?
Don't know, you tell me. :-)

:)

Well, technical wise, there isn‘t much room for improvement. Room for improvement is for the composition - never cut the dog ;) Maybe by stepping back, or maybe better (to keep the more dramatic perspective), a WCL.

What a daring photo. I’d be scared our Jack Russell wanted to lick the camera.
