Cape Cod - First decent long exposure try C&C please

Recently sold a lot of equipment (Fuji 23 f.14, 56 f1.2 X-E1 and an X100) and bought the X100f and this is the only camera I took on this trip. Not taking a lot of equipment frees me from making gear decisions and lets me concentrate on just shooting.

I've read the other comments and it's interesting to see the different perspectives. Here's what occurs to me, as has been said by others "know the rules, but be willing to break them"... I think you've done that to great effect here.

And, I don't think I would change the sand; provides a great contrast to the surreal ocean and sky. Of course, I can understand those who would say to make that surreal also...

If it were me, I print this and hang on a wall. BTW, I showed it to my wife who collects impressionist paintings and hangs them on our walls, and she really like it also.

I really like the result - minimalistic and slightly surreal!!
 
Good colours. I am not a fan of the horizon running in the middle, and too much uninteresting sky.

Would be nice if you had maybe a single lone cloud in the sky in the centre but it’s great as it is.

I will try give that a try. That would reduce the photo down to 4 elements. Good idea!
