Mines dispatched, wife will kill me!Website is now saying there are some in stock again. Very tempted here... Seems like a great price for a very nice piece of glass.
Just had an email from Park Cameras saying mines ready for collection. It's a grand I wasn't budgeting to blow but blimey at that price???!!!Mines dispatched, wife will kill me!Website is now saying there are some in stock again. Very tempted here... Seems like a great price for a very nice piece of glass.
And only 44 minutes later it says hurry only one left.Website is now saying there are some in stock again. Very tempted here... Seems like a great price for a very nice piece of glass.
SussexI wonder where they're all coming from? (not that I'm complaining, mind, though my bank account isn't too happy about it...!)
Well....... it’s far cheaper new now than a used one laterSorely tempted. Planning on going on Safari year after next and a 200/280mm with TC prime coupled with a 40-150 f2.8 is tempting...
Mines at home. I wonder if they just used new stock to fulfill the orders. It was odd they managed to source more ex-demo stock so quickly.Mine arrived today and is brand new and untouched as the lens wrappings and seals were all intact. Will try it out later!
Brand new lens arrived with me too. Nice.Apparently for Park Ex-Demo can also mean overstock or demo stock that has never been out to a customer so essentially new!![]()
Lucky that you live for this in the U.K. ... I ordered it before but they did not want to send it to NL.I received mine today and it definitely looks brand new. All the accessories were still wrapped and there wasn't a mark or fingerprint on the lens as far as I could see.
It makes a nice change from the last "ex-demo" item I purchased online. That netbook (remember those?) arrived with a cracked hinge and missing key on the keyboard.
The perfect condition almost makes me uncomfortable. It's actually the first "new" lens I've bought for quite a while. I normally favour buying cosmetically damaged lenses, both because they're cheaper and because the extra scuffs and scratches that I end up adding won't bother me.
From quickly testing it in my garden it looks like it'll be a good lens for shooting butterflies, especially with the 1.4TC increasing the magnification to 0.28x. I'll have to take it out this weekend while there are still some around in the UK.
Can someone familiar with this lens confirm the type of tripod mount ?
Is it like the 100-400 where the mount is a "foot" tacked onto the body of the lens, or is it a proper concentric collar that allows portrait/landscape options ?
