Hi,

The title sayd it all. I’d like a camera that would give me good enough video that would allow me to learn videography but also that would be good enough to capture (more than) decent stills.

I was thinking something along the lines of a Sony A7(what?) and a wide angle paired with a short tele (say, 24 and a 105).

Or a Lumix.

I really don’t know.

What do you guys use as a versatile camera like that?

Thanks.

B.

ps: let’s keep the budget talk out of this, just to not influence opinions—as I’ve said, I’m a beginner, but not necessarily poor :)

Either would be good.

The expensive stuff is going to be camera mounts, lighting gear, and a fast computer for editing the video!

Check out the Digital Video forum section.

Personally, I'd start by looking at Sony and Fuji.

I'm considering GH5 but not sure how it handles the photography part.

Any thoughts?
