I'm using a Chromebook and would like a good app (hopefully free) for editing photos. Any recommendations? Thanks

Thanks. I've tried it but would like something a little better for sharpening.

Hmmm you want it free but with high end features, and probably you want it to run speedily on the low powered Chromebook. Something's gotta give.

i found 2 that work well. Adobe Photoshop Express and Fotor Photo Editor. Both are on Google Play Store and are free.

Assuming your Chromebook supports Android apps Snapseed from the Play store is pretty good.

Chromebooks are also slowly gaining the ability to run Linux applications. When that feature comes out of beta it will open up more powerful options like darktable and Rawtherapee.

Many Chromebooks can also run Android apps. If you can, then I'd suggest checking out Snapseed: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.niksoftware.snapseed&hl=en_US

Also Adobe LIghtroom for Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adobe.lrmobile&hl=en_US

Start there.

Some Chromebooks can run Linux apps already (see: https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromiumos/docs/+/master/containers_and_vms.md#Supported-Now). I have darktable and Rawtherapee running fine on my HP 360 Chromebook. These have a steep learning curve, but are free and very capable, esp. if you shoot RAW photos.

Good luck!

Runs great, works great, very easy to use.

Local editing via Selective menu is a huge plus.
