Hi all,

I shoot with the E-M10ii and have a Panasonic 25mm 1.4 which is a fantastic lens. I now wish to have a super wide angle lens, and I consider buying a used Camdiox focal reducer which links EF-mount lenses to mft. Then pairing it with the EF-S 10-22mm or the EF 11-24mm.

My questions are, does the Camdiox allow connection of EF-S lenses as well? are all EF-mount lenses functional with it? I'm posting the question here because I could not find such info on the Camdiox product.

Thanks!

No focal reduction adapter will allow EF-S lenses to mount due to the rear baffle in those particular mount format. They will mount on standard electronic adapters though. Some EF-S mount type lenses can be modified by “surgery” to mount - but it is not a recommended practice (at one’s own risk) although it has been done with internet “how-to’s”.

Other aps-c image circle EF mount lenses such as Sigma DC lenses mount easily on focal reduction adapters and work well - they lace the full aps-c image circle on the 4/3 sensor.

But I have no personal knowledge of the Camdiox adapter - it is a brand name that I have not previously heard of.

Thank you for the info! I will try the Sigma 10-20mm DC with the adapter once it arrives.
