I am having problems with making videos. The pans I make are coming out very unsteady. I have a pretty steady hand but they come out very jittery when I pan or tilt. I don't have that problem when I do the same with my iPhone. What can I do to improve my video quality?

iPhone has much better stabilization than my ZS100, especially in 4k. On that note, I wouldn't hand hold and pan/tilt during video personally, it never looks good no matter the camera. If it's important, then a gimbal or tripod with a video head is the way to go.

The default setting of the stabilizer on Panasonic cameras tends to try to fight against the horizontal movement of the camera when you are panning.

Try to set the stabilizer to « panning » in the motion picture menu and see if that helps ?
