Yup, I was told August-September. An early test photo from them look very promising. Seems like the device is well worth the money! This is all about precision. It took a little patience, but it seems that my new Astrotrac360 will be delivered in the very near future (August September). Good things are worth waiting for.
I can hardly wait anymore now. I will post here once I get it.
Magnar, yours on the way as well?
Photos, Orion 16 frames ISO400 3mins, WO Gt71 UNGUIDED, and counterbalance set up using s/h vixen counterweight etc.Late to the party here but I'm on my third tracker and it's a Fornax LT2. Head and shoulders above the others I have had, both in terms of manufacturing quality and performance.
To get the best out of this mount, you need:
A good wedge
A solid tripod with a wide flat head (I use a bosch survey tripod, modified with a 3/8" bolt)
A counterweight arm if you want to take long exposures at long focal lengths
Accurate polar alignment (collimate a polarscope or use a camera.. I use ASI Air Pro for 30" PA)
I can run a WO GT71 at 3 min with D5600 (450mm eq FL)
Rewinding is a doddle if you use pan heads on the RA and Dec axis, just reframe, check focus, good for another 100 minutes.
Can't recommend it enough.
