I like the pictures.

And the words "circular polarizer" come to mind.

Thanks. I don’t know of a CP for the 17 TS-E.

Very nice shots. Your clients should be very happy with them.

Thank you
nicely done. My only criticism is that it appears like you have done so some mapping HDR work and it is a little too aggressive and unnatural looking for my taste.

Bit the shots are really well staged and you picked your angles well. I can almost feel what it would be like to live in those houses.

I hear you on that. The weather was challenging as it was blazing bright outside. I tried different approaches to some of the interior HDRs and I just felt these settings did the most justice.

Good set Jack. The Hasselblad on the mavic 2 pro looks impressive, how do you like it?

Thanks. The "Hasselblad" is a significant improvement over the camera on the original Mavic Pro which I had. Due to the larger 1" Sony sensor, I've found that the best apertures to use are f/4.0 to f/5.6. Larger than that and DOF becomes an issue, smaller than that and diffraction becomes an issue. In any case it is nice to have a choice vs the fixed f/2.2 of the original. 20mp on the gen 2 is very welcome on my 5K iMac, vs the 12mp of the gen 1.

Here are a few full-res shots for you. The first two were cropped in-camera to 16:9. All were processed in Lightroom from DNG.

The drone itself seems more robust and better built than the gen 1. The gimbal seems much more sturdy. I felt like I was going to break the gen 1 gimbal off in my hands every time I put the transportation/storage brace on it. In fact, the gen 1 gimbal was literally attached to the drone by rubber bands. The gen 2 has 8gb of internal storage which is welcome because I forget the micro SD card sometimes. The gen 1 has none. Gen 2 has more crash avoidance and comes with the quieter rotors which you can also get for the gen 1. Battery life is slightly better, and the remote has screw-in control sticks so stowing it is easier. It has landing lights which come on automatically in low light. All that said, the gen 1 would still be a great value if that's all you can justify.

I actually had a CP for my 17 via a WonderPana adapter. The adapter is genius for placing a filter in the 17 but a CP on any UWA lens is not useful as the AOV is so great it creates gradients in the sky.

Sold mine.

Impressive photographs of great architecture set on scenic pieces of land.

I want to try out a drone.

Thanks. I consider the drone absolutely essential. More so than a TS lens even. It places the property in the context of its surroundings. I include aerials in all my shoots now at no extra charge (I am more expensive anyway) because I feel not providing them is a disservice.

I agree on context, particularly in a location as lovely as this.

For many situations it is an inventory of roofs.

I worked on a lot of properties on and around Lake Travis in the late 90s and early 2000s. We had to hire a plane to get shots like that. My photographer liked a plane better than a helicopter, because there was less vibration.

Those pictures were not as good as your drone shots.
