Sold my a73 + gm 85 1.4 and zeiss 55 1.8 .I am ready to buy used xt-3 body 1060 $ in my country. But i am really bored to use prime lenses. They are not versalite, specially i am losing too many time for rebalancing my crane for each lens.I know fujifilm prime lenses are legend and popular but i can't see good alternative for full frame 24 -70 2.8 gm or 24 105 f4 sony g.My 90% job is portrait, both on photos and videos..If i buy xt-3, which zoom lens you suggest me for versality on portraits ?Thanks..

Note : xt-3 is 1060 dollar

16-55 2.8 is 621 dollar

56 1.2 is 515 dollar

The 56/1.2 is Fuji's classic portrait lens. If razor thin DOF for portraits is the look you want you'll be hard pressed to find anything much better in Fuji's lineup. The 16-55 is a narrower aperture lens, but still pretty fast at f/2.8 throughout its range. if you shoot towards the long end of the FL range, you can still get reasonably thin DOF. It's also more versatile as a zoom, rather than a prime lens, thus making it usable for other sorts of photography as well. The zoom might also give you a bit more flexibility in terms of the distance between you and your subject if that makes a difference in how you are set up for portraiture.

Either would get the job done. It all depends on whether thinnest possible DOF is of great importance (in which case the 56/1.2 would be the best choice) or you're looking for a fairly fast lens that might be a lot more versatile and offer a broader focal length range. Only you can really make that decision based on your needs.

Use either eBay completed items or FredMiranda.com sale forum as a barometer for used prices

XT3 at $1060 is very good, but not sure about condition?

Thanks, I would have offered the same suggestion. Before selling anything, I usually check out Fredmiranda.com and EBay just to get an idea of where the items should be priced. I will then set the actual price depending on how anxious I am to get the item sold.
