a diy gimbal...

so,i've heard of the gimbal controller board and wanted to make a big badass gimbal for my own. the problem is...my intention is to load about 1 to 2.5 kg on the gimbal,like the crane plus,but i dont know what kind of motor i should buy.
with that payload,should i buy strong or weak motor? or..kinda big or small motor?
and where can i find it?im from vietnam,the source that i can buy import stuff is from lazada.
or if you folks dont have the specific links,maybe the motor's name or the voltage,motor dimensions or motor capacity may helps me find the best one.
and the material for the gimbal is maybe from plastic,or lightweight aluminium,any lightweight materials that i can find,in my country,but not carbon fiber,carbon fiber is too expensive for me.

for more details,im using a nx1000 with samsung 18-55,the combo is about 1.1 kg.

You're clearly talking about a different kind of Gimbal than I've come across.

Gimbal heads don't use motors & generally take much heavier weights than 2.5kg. The first one mentioned here is rated to 23kg...

yeah but i cant find that motor type,the one on hobbyking is already offsale,thats why i asked.
take my professor's mantra: if you can buy it, buy it! it is cheaper than DIY.

here it is much more than a question of motors. The whole thing involves inertial sensors and a well designed electronic system to steer the actuators. If you know the inertia of the moving part, the frequency/amplitude spectrum of the movement to be compensated, then the actuator/motor minimum specs follow from a mechanical calculation. So the motor specs are the easy part. It is a long way from there to a working gimbal-stabilizer.
 
ah yes,thanks for your mantra...but i quit buying it anyway..it's not necessary for me anymore.....well thanks anyway!
