My New GFX 250 F4 - Rare Actual People Shots!

I am very curious what color profile you used, if any, to process these colors.

They just don't seem quite right to me; but too saturated instead.

The shot of the policeman shows moiré on his uniform.
How one process a picture file is personal, so your preferences does not need to be correct for others.

The pictures looks fine to me.

Ps: Yes, I do see some moirè on the upper left of his uniform.

Let me rephrase: I'm curious what neutral shots looks like, before personal flavors are added.

The moiré concerns me. I don't see that in Foveon based cameras, so I was quite surprised to see so much of it here.

...I see it a lot with my GFX 50S.

It's a sign that the Fuji lenses are just so damn sharp! - that and the smaller than normal sensor micro-lenses.

Not just moiré, but colour artefacts (brightly coloured pixels) around contrasty edges -branches/twigs against sky, blades of sunlit grass, water ripples etc. The Fuji OOC jpeg engine uses v.aggressive Colour NR to mitigate this (equal to +50 Color NR in ACR).

f11 and smaller, also helps reduce these 'interference patterns'.

Mr. Groot,

That is a good question. I shot raw w DR 100, auto WB. I did very little post in LR - less than usual. I usually play with color temp in post but didnt touch it here. I did no color adjustments. I'm on the road now in Houston visiting grandkids and am away from my studio machine, but I remember I added a little vibrance and bumped up the clarity some. I left it at default sharpening. I didnt lift shadows or drop highlights.

Chris told me that lens is so sharp you have to tone it down in post, but not sure how he does that.. I'm sure he would also recommend to drop that tint slider a bit.

I exported full size jpegs.

Drop the magenta tint slider a bit Greg - you'll be amazed at how different the over all color will look

Regarding sharpening on the 250mm shots - I found backing off the sharpness control on import was good - also selecting an image size conversion in PS which did not sharpen the image further when downsizing for JPEG
