I have a concern with how Facebook handles photos shot in panorama mode. I upload some of my photos to FB using this method and disabling the scroll (AKA 360) mode.
I disabled the 360 on a photo when I created a recent gallery from my smart phone and the photo shows up in my album as it was shot (the entire photo visible at once). But when I try to make this photo my cover photo, Facebook converts it to a 360, meaning the viewer can't see the entire photo at once and has to scroll left or right. If I disabled it within Facebook's app, it should remove all tagging of it being a scroll (or 360) photo. But apparently it doesn't.
This recent occurrence has me wondering why Facebook thinks its users prefer the scroll mode over a fixed panorama?
With respect to those 360 photos, if you wish to disable the scroll view so the user views the entire panorama photo (as it is meant to be viewed) I previously wrote:
If you select the photo, then select 'upload' (or the up arrow with the square) and then select FB, there is no option to disable the scrolling feature. But if you start with FB, then select the photo, you can disable the scrolling feature by toggling the globe logo in the lower right corner.
I found this at Facebook's help center, but note that Facebook provides a link to another Facebook help page, claiming that it explains how to disable the 360. But when you go to that page, it doesn't explain how to disable the 360. https://www.facebook.com/help/1034992109915258/?ref=u2u
