Self-Portraits

As a logical follow-up to showing your Passions/Hobbies in the previous challenge, please post some of your self-portraits to show us yourself this time. Photos must show you and must be taken by yourself using the self-timer or a remote-trigger. I trust you to be honest and not to ask your mom to take the shot :-)

To encourage/inspire you to post images you took in the past or to grab your camera right now and get creative, I show some examples below.

It can be a classic portrait like the following taken with remote-trigger and external flash with small, round softbox:

You may also post a joke/something funny like I did with the following combination of two images. I tried to fool some friends with it by telling them that my twin-brother showed up after more than twenty years... This one/these were again taken with the remote-trigger and indirect external flash. You can actually see the remote-trigger in my hand(s) if you look closely:

Or you can post yourself in action like in the following example. It is a crop from a freeze frame of footage I took when testing the automatic follow-mode of my drone:

So please don't be shy and bring them on!

Ha, ha, good joke! I just wonder how all your muscles vanished so fast :-D

Good portrait and friendly smile by the way. Hope it was not the waitress or your sweatheart who took it ;-)

Thanks, wife was out shopping and waitress couldn't speak a word of English, it was an empty restaurant at the time so the waitress enjoyed helping me set up the small tripod and camera for the shots.

And how dare you call my wife a sweatheart, specially on Mother's Day, lol;-)

You inspired me to try a composite shot. That is me on the couch triggering the camera with my phone using the Smart memories App.

This my first attempt, so it is a little rough.

Guess which is which.
Guess which is which.

This is actually pretty impressive when pixel-peeping.

I don't like torturing my cameras by taking images of me. This is as close as I would want to get.

But then there are these two:

X-Mas eve and trying to meet my deadline. One pencil in each hand and plans marked up for me to CADD in later.

Photobombing my poor long suffering partner.

Do my hands thumb wrestling count?

That's all I have.

aloha,

Val

Thanks for posting. I really love the first one. The second one is not exactly on topic but never the less very nice indeed.

Thanks. Yes, I think so too. It's nice to finally see some faces. Makes everything a little more personal. I hope you will also come up with at least one ;-)
