**PART 2** This Week Through your m4/3 2019.04.13

Wow - love that first. Both actually. I know you'd lose that nice patch of sky but I'd crop a touch off the right of the first.

Hard to tell if that's a man-made waterfall. Is it?
The way I understand is that in 1850 a local provincial surveyor established that there a perfect location for building a series of mills due to the existence of a natural environment of fast flowing river, pond, waterfalls, creek etc. As a result this particular mill was built with weir and dam to harness the energy contained in flowing water and power the machinery for knitting and later manufacture of rubber products. At present it’s a site for the inn, spa, pub, hiking etc.

I like the first of these Chris. Is that the calm?

Andrew
Yes, it's a very still pond and then - boom - waterfalls and very fast current leading into a creek.

The first shot with the light across the top of the falls and the calm flat water behind it fits your title beautifully. Also, on closer inspection, those two Adirondack chairs show that someone is enjoying the spot/

Andrew, that should be hanging in the lobby of that rink. Good one!

Wonderful photos, the first one has a slight edge on the second.

Lovely - now I want to go back.

Beautiful light. I can see 4 in the last.

I enjoyed these, I've only ever seen white herons.

The first for me. It's that wall of water that's so impressive.

I like how you made something out of that shot.

The first is a corker. The second which looks like nothing very special in the thumbnail has a gorgeous quality to it when viewed at full size. With the second you could try cropping a chunk off the bottom so that the stream originates somewhere near the right hand corner.

Thanks Yaelle. Heavy crop then a lot of playing with contrast to bring up the reflections in both the ice and the glass, because it was pretty much an uninteresting shot without them.

Andrew

It's that time of year. I had to crop reasonably hard but still worth viewing at original size.

Got a longer lens in the arsenal? I am not sure what the appeal is but for me sheep are always nice to see. Those ones seem to looing right at you, perhaps thinking, yep, damn we're cute!
