Optio S is great!

I continue to be amazed at the quality of the Optio S! I just got back from my local camera shop where I printed shots from my S and my Canon Rebel D. No, the Optio does not match the quality of the Rebel D. But it is awesome nonetheless. I took a close-up of a flower, enlarged it to 8 x 10, and the detail was so crisp the camera shop asked if they could make an 8 x 10 so they could show it to prospective customers. They sell a ton of these little gems from that picture! (Maybe I should get a royalty from them???)

Anyway, when I got my prints back today, the Rebel D's were very good. But we spent most of our time gawking at the ones from the S. The macro setting is beyond belief. The color saturation (I have it set at the highest level) is wonderful. Just wanted to toss in my two cents worth on this fun camera.

Oh--and I never leave home without it. As I tell others: The best camera in the world is the one you have with you when you want to take a picture.

Could you post a sample macro photo so the rest of us can see what the Optio S can do?

Thanks, Dave B.

here's a shot of a closup I did with my Pentax 450.

Was done on the run as it was about to rain.

Thanks, Dave B.
