Yes. Many people on this forum use C1 for Sony.Anyone working with the Sony only version of the program?
you are welcome.Thanks. Took me a while to figure out how to install, but that is the approach I am going to take. Start with Capture One Express for Sony. If I like working with it, $109 for Pro seems reasonable.
Capture One is effectively a subscription model now. Each November (or early December) they come out with a new version and stop updating the old. So if you buy a new lens (i.e. new to market), you must upgrade. Plus they always introduce a new feature or two that you wantJust an FYI - I believe I've read that they will be moving to a subscription model like Adobe has done. I don't know when.
I have Capture One and Lightroom, but I hardly ever use Lightroom. I really was never into post-processing photographs until 4 or 5 years ago when I really got into Photography. I think if I had gotten into Photography 10 to 15 years ago I might had be a Lightroom person. I just personally find Capture One to be more intuitive than Lightroom when it comes to post-processing.Anyone working with the Sony only version of the program?
YMMV on that one. Every time I've tried to use it I just get frustrated with C1's UI. That's the single thing that has been a non-starter for me, personally. We are all certainly different!I just personally find Capture One to be more intuitive than Lightroom when it comes to post-processing.
I you buy do it now in the moment there is a special spring offer with a 50% discount. Thanks, everyone. Getting ready to give it a go.
Make sure you uninstall Lightroom to remove the temptation to go back and use the Lightroom setup in Capture One which mimics the setup of the Lightroom layout to make the conversion easier. Thanks, everyone. Getting ready to give it a go.
I sometimes use it but (for me at least) it’s not close to being a replacement for Lightroom and PhotoshopAnyone working with the Sony only version of the program?
IMO, this would be a bad move for C1. Adobe has Photoshop available and tied to LR. C1 doesn’t have anything similar that I know of, and would require two subscriptions if one wanted to use both C1 and Photoshop. Eventually, my Photoshop CS6 will stop working and I’ll need to subscribe to get Photoshop. If I have to pay for a C1 subscription, I’ll be looking at LR as a possibility instead as I don’t want two subscriptions.you are welcome.Thanks.
