If you are willing to use a beta version of Adobe DNG Converter, it is at

The beta converts S1 and S1R .rw2 files to .dng, which you can then post-process in Raw Therapee, LR, etc.

I tried one file, worked fine.

The are also released here but I could not find anything.

I can't wait for some dybakc range tets

... now supports S1 and S1R file formats.

I've been able to open the converted RAW sample files from DPR in Photoshop.

I normally do not like using beta software … but looks like there is no alternative, and I really want to evaluate the S1 high iso samples that are around

DPR samples high iso for the S1 looks, once converted, suspiciously very very clean but with some artifacts as if noise cleaning was applied.

so I may invest in Silkypix just to satisfy my use of this camera in RAW. I dumped everything Adobe several years ago no desire to go back. I'll also await my DXO and ACDSee to update for the Panasonic rather than deal with anything Adobe. They blow Adobe away

I have Silkypix Dev Studio Pro and it does not read them yet

I have no idea about canon, but till I cannot assess if noise cancellation was applied I will stay away from it
