it looks perverted, but yes my wide angle will be here next week, how is the quality?
Did not have the time to use it much, but quite good, though iinitial impression is (logically) it is less good than without. Sorry I have no data yet to be more specific.

I was perfectly happy with the results from my GR2 adapted lens, I'm sure it has met and probably exceeded the previous, all I want now is one of those Leica external viewfinders.

More scary than sexy :)

Designed to scare away the prey in street photography, if you ask me.

That’s the Ricoh GV-1 pictured.

I have a polarizer (62mm) for my GR II + GW-3 and I was hoping that i can still use it with the GR III + GW-4.

Yes, from my previous GRII. Hopefully lens angle of 28mm has not changed. ;-)

My GV-1 is from the original GRD. 4:3 aspect ratio vs 3:2. Think it’s the same one.
So Ricoh is using from way past.
It looks nice but, have to admit, I almost never used it, the screen is so much more comfortable - beside sbeing much larger for composition purposes. I also wear glasses that get into conflict with the GV-1.

Well that looks like the same crappy lens hood as on the GRII/GW3, which makes it possibly the least sexy camera addon ever!

Luckily i dont require my cameras to be sexy...

fwiw that hood is useless in every respect and look better with it off.

Now to the real reason im posting :)

Can anyone determine if the GW4 wide angle lens is exactly the same glass as the GR GW3 lens?

Also in theory the GW3 should still fit on the GRIII as its still using a 49mm filter thread?

I think you can see where im going with this.. yes i will loose the exif info but if the glass is the same i can live with that.

If it's even just a little less bulky than the previous GW-3 I will be very happy. I expect it will give good quality images. I thought the combo gave better results than my DA 15 f4 ltd. It's also faster at 2.8.

A 28mm OVF with a 21mm lens, and half-hidden behind the lens hood. What kind of sex is that?
The coy variety.

It’s a 21mm OVF. Perfect match.

Bingo! I forgot that, and I even own a GV-1. Actually, the frame lines are so hard to see under some conditions that it scarcely matters. About all it does is to get your eye aimed forward instead of, say, over your left shoulder. :-)

Great view of the lens hood through that viewfinder?

The view is so wide on this camera, I never understood plastering it to your face to frame a shot?
