GRIII operation manual PDF

Looks like auto iso in m mode

max and minimum iso settings

and exposure in m mode

nice additions

if that's not a typo then it is kind of interesting

normal from 10cm to infinity

macro from 6cm to 12cm

if so then why didn't they implement auto-macro, for 6cm to 10cm you need to press a button

imagine that you are taking photos at 10cm, slight movement and you are out of focus

I don't see any note about number of possible shots or any limitations like in GRII; I doubt this can take more than 10 frames in RAW+Jpeg

Page 49:

Manual mode.

When the ISO sensitivity is set to ISO AUTO, the exposure compensation can be adjusted using the wheel.

Sounds like good old TAv to me.

I don't see any mention of it in the manual. Unless there is an undocumented way to autofocus in manual mode, I don't see how to lock focus separately from exposure like we do it with GR2 ?

Two pain points:

1. No way to set multiple AUTO ISO settings alone (not tangled with other settings)

2. Can't assign FACE DETECTION shortcut to ADJ button lists.

Adj is push to access 5 functions, and move to right or left for compensation. This will not work for me. I will always be selecting the wrong thing because of my fat calloused builders numb thumb . On the mk2 it’s for instant iso, and I could turn it off

also no shortcut to turn on/off touch screen

unless ive missed something

Thanks for the information. As you said, I have to use a whole set of settings in order to differentiate only AUTO ISO. That is something could be improved.

To have three different sets of AUTO ISO and leave other settings identical will waste three slots of memory. And if I want to change another setting and make it universal, I have to repeat three times.

You sure about that? you might be able to save different auto iso settings in the memory modes.
2. Can't assign FACE DETECTION shortcut to ADJ button lists.

Why not use the Fn button as back focus button (assigning it to AF only as AF+AE lock is the default setting)?

(user guide p123)
Because the manual does not mention the AF lock!
There is only AE+AF or AE.

I just tried it in my new gr3 and worked. Set FN to AF only and shutter to AE only and that is back button focusing. (Don't forget set AF mode to AF-C also)

Thanks for checking, the manual was not clear about that. One checkbox more :-)
