I think naming conventions will reduce and completely shift from features to function. So terms like "mirrorless", "phone", "camera", "ILC", etc will all become redundant and unimportant. All cameras and other devices are basically nearing equality now, in terms of providing imagery that is good enough for the masses. Distinguishing technical differences are quickly becoming irrelevant to mass consumers. The ease and speed of recording and sharing imagery is the key feature of any device with a camera, but the hardware involved in how that is achieved will be immaterial.
I think it's very likely that all such camera/phone devices will be named very simply by what they are used for: communication. So I would not be surprised if all such devices are reduced to something like "- Coms". Perhaps with an abbreviation of the brand preceding the -com, such as "AppCom", "SamCom", "G-Com", etc, or after the platform they are designed for, such as "OsCom", "DroidCom", or "WinCom" (if those platforms still exist separately). Technical differences will still be important to some but won't necessarily be part of the nomenclature.
