***This week with your Z6/7, Feb 23-Mar 1 2019***

A Zee 7, couldn't help it.

The first shot is out of the camera. I did straighten it but just converted it from RAW to JPG. The second third shots are mildly edited. I think the meta data transfers.

Z7, 24-70 f4 S with SB800 and factory defuser. The room was very dark

Using Capture NX-D cropped out clutter, pushed to +1ev, then pushed dark protection some. Used mid level noise reduction.

Mostly the same edits as in the second shot

Colourful and pretty. That 50mm lens seems to do a good job.
Thanks for your interest, Jacques. And yes, I'm fond of the 50S. Great lens for what I like to do...

As well in this very thread, we can see it at use in many ways and always with great results...

Yes, really fond of this lens. For a large part, my photographic hobby is at documenting and detailing the Buddhist artifacts encountered in Thai temples. And this Z lens is to me the "perfect" tool: it especially shows a great "presence/modeling" of the focused areas/subjects, like giving life to them...

Some from yesterday at Wat Ton Phueng, a small remote temple...

I'm from Arizona (a desert) but we got a nice coating of snow in a majority of the state. While it's common to get snow in the northern part of the state, apparently they got like massively more snow than anticipated and well, I haven't seen snow here in my part of the state (Phoenix) in years.

Obviously this meant I need to go out and take advantage of it, and I did. A lot of other people did too :)

First photo of the weekend, at a state park call the Lost Dutchman:

Then another in the same park but a closer hike up to the mountains off in the distance of the above photo. This used the focus shifting ability of the Z7 since the cholla and the mountain behind it are pretty far apart. The snow is barely dots the mountain but this was taken on Sunday when it started to melt here due to the lower elevation.

Then rounding off the weekend was a view of Four Peaks:

Of course I got some other ones but these were my favorite.

Excellent. I'd consider dialling back the saturation in the bottom one a hair.

Thank, yes that's the one I go back and forth on with the saturation; it was difficult because to be honest I didn't push it too far intentionally in post but it came out a little strong regardless. But thanks for your feedback.

If it looks a little flat after you reduce the saturation, you might try some small white balance adjustments.

I like all of them. The all should be submitted to Arizona Highways. I think I like the "Lost Dutchman" shot best, but it is a close call for all three.

Nice. Was at a conference in Phoenix once, early October, and when it finished headed north as evening drew in, having heard something about "snow has come to the high country" but didn't think too much about it. I arrived in Flagstaff a nervous wreck, having never driven through snow like that before or since.
