300D released in Hong Kong!

I got my 300D exactly on 18 Sept 2003 in Mong Kok.

Accordingly, the next batch of delivery will be on mid-Oct. I think if a shop is out of stock, they re going to wait or to get them from somewhere else which will led to more expensive selling price.

Leading AV centre, 161 Johnston Rd. As mentioned by sxc above.

Plus Master (OA) Company in Wan Chai Computer Centre (practically
the first shop you come to as you come up the escalator into the
Centre).

They're both out of stock though, but say they'll have more next
week. As Ashley says they're both small stores selling allsorts
rather than specialist camera shops.

It seems that HK shops are sold out already - found Kinefoto have a body only and that's all. Kowloon Photo and several others told me 2 weeks or mid-October before new stock arrives.

Does anyone know exactly when the new stock is due? I would really like to buy one by October 7th when my daughter is performing in a play!

There are at least 3 shops today in Central that still has the 300D. Price wise I think are at the Recommended Retail price of $8600.

There are 2 shops in Stanley St Central that I've seen have it. One is right next to the Stairs made of rocks. The other is a bit further down. Maybe you can haggle as at Wanchai they were around the $7900 mark but they are all out of stock till mid Oct.

The other shop is in the Galleria building next to the Landmark building. No idea on price though.
