interesting in all. i think no. 4 wins me (maybe because i did the parthenon in pencil so many times in school)

Looks like a interesting place to explore.

The snow in your shots make it even more interesting.

Nice composition and lighting. More clouds at the top would add balance. Worth going back and shooting again in RAW.
The thought had crossed my mind :) Although the chances of getting those lighting conditions the same are slim. It is a bit of a distance too, and about a 6 mile walk to get to the location. If I were to do it again I would likely take a better camera too. Which of course would make the trek an even bigger pain lol.

I must say, that the download pic has gone about a third of a stop darker than my original for some reason. Must admit I could kick myself for not shooting a raw version lol. Just for fun and experimental purpose I decided to go out and try out the jpg engine. I set the camera to shoot 3 separate jpgs using the motor drive. I set the camera for dynamic, smooth and dynamic b and w. In a way it worked. The dynamic b and w setting is excellent. I set all 3 with - 2 noise reduction and plus one sharpening with the b and w. I told myself to stick with it no matter what. It was kind of fun and it was interesting, but I enjoy editing anyways. My conclusion from my experiment was that if I ever do it again it will be using just the dynamic b and w setting and shoot 3 bracket shots instead :)

Oh, I don't know, I think the snowy vibe adds something. Enjoyed these.

Like a big bruise of a sky.

Nice shot of a nice spot. Makes me feel I need a coat to view it.

Part 2 starting.

I've read all the comments and whilst, yes, there would have been more latitude in RAW to refine I don't mind the deep shadows. It just looks a bit like you've added a dramatic filter to the shot. It's a lovely scene which helps.

Just love the glowing and subtle light in the first.

Fab, great shapes in that vegetation.

This is a lovely set. That bridge shot is fantastic.

My thoughts exactly to be honest. It creates mood and keeps it real. No dramatic filter... the light was genuinely like the pic shows. I sat on a bench and waited for the clouds to shift as the bridge was dull and dark. The winter sun was setting and very warm. :)

Second and third shots are fantastic. It should snow more often.

Wow, that third one is just wonderful. What great light and colour and the comp is fantastic.

That was worth the effort! I sometimes think it's worth having a dog just so you can incorporate it into shots like this ;-)

What a great find. The pictures are really nice and give the sense of the place; someone had a great idea to create a place like this. I like the whimsy of the bear on the frozen lake.

Both lovely shots but I think the second takes the prize for its simplicity and also for the moon.

I've not seen any snow this winter so I enjoyed this. And B&W is a really good choice.
