yes i tried but's it's slow and some connection problem also.Have you tried Snapbridge? It is free, when it works.
The other options are relatively costlier.
It also requires a second device, a major PITA and additional expense.yes i tried but's it's slow and some connection problem also.Have you tried Snapbridge? It is free, when it works.

.. Googling for "Snapbridge problems" returns in excess of 30,000 hits :-(All you need to do is install the Snapbridge App on your phone and then you can use your phone as a remote shutter.

Do you have the name of the exact product you are using and does it work with the Nikon d3500 thanksa Pixel Oppilas device, cost about £20 and works perfectly. There was life before mobile telephones I believe.
Yes. It is Oppilas/DC0. As to whether it works with a D3500 you'll have to do your own research as I don't have that camera. It does work with a D90; D300 and D750 although the additional purchase of a suitable cable connector may be required for the D300.seDavid Lal wrote:s

The Pixel devices I've seen work like my Vello trigger, via a receiver module physically connected to the camera. These types of devices will not work on a D3500 as the D3500 has no accessory port at all.Yes. It is Oppilas/DC0. That's a bit of a bummer for the people who own a D3500. Thanks for the info. The older D3300 has an accessory port. And all or nearly-all other Nikon DSLRs have an accessory port. But not the D3500...
They probably figure that people shopping at that level don't tend to use intervelometers and remote releases. That's a bit of a bummer for the people who own a D3500. Yes. SnapBridge communicates between a compatible mobile device and the camera via Bluetooth. That is the only way to remote trigger a D3500, which has been mentioned a few times in the replies including the very first.Has not anyone mentioned this that it can do remote shutter with D3500?
If I remember correctly!
Which model do you use? I looked on Amazon and it seems that doesn't work with a D3500..... Googling for "Snapbridge problems" returns in excess of 30,000 hits :-(All you need to do is install the Snapbridge App on your phone and then you can use your phone as a remote shutter.

D90, D300 and D750. Different connecting cables required. No idea about the D3500 - you'll have to research that yourself.Which model do you use? I looked on Amazon and it seems that doesn't work with a D3500...
It's a bummer that Snapbridge App doesn't implement a time-lapse control... Does anyone know if there is a "custom" App having it and that connects to the camera by Bluethooth?Yes.
