Generally, I am happy with my E M1 II. Its the most comfortable camera body I ever used, its fast and overall very enjoyable to use.
But, the heart is weak: the sensor. I don't shoot above ISO 3200 because the image is much too flat, actually, I prefer to shoot less than that. So, an E M1 II with a better sensor would be perfect.
Also, in video part, the camera could be a great video camera, but I see a noticeable quality difference between UHD and C4K files, as the C4K files are really better in pure image quality. There is a problem in the codec I believe. Also, 4K 60p is missing so no slow motion in 4K.
And then the E M1X came out, and again everything around the sensor looks impressive, but the sensor itself.
We are in year 2019, Full frame sensors have BSI, but not this small m43 sensor (which needs that much more!) on a flagship camera. Also the video codec and bit rate stayed the same, no 4K 60p and no 10 bit over HDMI. I can add to that the low resolution "2.36" EVF. I had the chance to use the Nikon Z6 and EVF was pure pleasure.
Olympus is failing on the basics. Sad.
