Gear certainly does matter. If you are constantly fighting with a camera, taking pictures becomes a chore. A camera that struggles to focus in low light is a poor choice for wedding shoots. A camera with poor low light sensitivity is a bad tool for the job. Eye AF was a game changer for portraiture and fashion. IBIS allows you to shoot at slower shutter speeds in a dark church. Decent 120fps is another useful creative feature.Focus peaking is huge. Being able to shoot APS-C crop. Focus magnification while recording video. These features are all popular for a reason. They allow you to concentrate on shooting pictures.

Outstanding video explaining the essence of wedding photography. Your style and eye resonate with me... keeping the shutter speed slow at times to introduce movement and emotion is key, I believe, to capturing the feeling of the day.

Now I using A7r3 and A7m3 with 24-70/2.8, 55/1.8, 85/1.8, 24/1.4 and 12-24/4

Great cameras!

Also I have old A900 and A99 ( the part of pictures in video are taken with these models) and A lenses - Zeiss 135/1.8, 50/1.4 , Zeiss 16-35/2.8, 24-70/2.8 + some old Minolta Lenses
