I believe he meant an R model that is equivalent to the M6. In other words, a small-bodied R-mount, possibly with an APS-C sensor. The M6 was overpriced when it was released.
Still too expensive before january salesThe M6 is now nestled at a more reasonable price bracket.
I hope so, then lenses will be cheaper to grabThe M6 will eventually be superseded as the technology advances.
Given how long this price has been lowered, at least in some markets, it is likely a permanent lowering which is often an indicator of a new version to be released. Canon have said in an interview that the next R is going to be FF, but aimed at a lower point of entry than the current R. Not sure if that fits what you are asking.or an R equivalent?
