Hello world,

I was wondering whether I can wear my Sony A7III with the Tamron 28-75 2.8 lens on a strap. Is there too much weight on the camera body that it could damage the mount ring (Bayonette)?

If so, how do you guys walk around with it.

Thank you in advance.

You will not damage your mount with that size of lens. When you move up to much heavier lenses you could have one but this depends on how careless you are with your equipment.

Most of us here carry much heavier lenses hanging off the mount

You shouldn't worry about it. The mounting ring on the body attaches directly to the A7III's magnesium alloy sub-frame:

Most DSLR mounting rings attach directly to a plastic subframe (all the black areas you see in the photos below). And they seem to do just fine.
