***Mini-Challenge 529*** Landscapes With Interesting Skies

Wow!! Maybe make some of those into exhibits?

TziP'ng; Hopi/Tewa Holy Mountain, near the Pueblo of Abiquiu, NM

Climbed it a while back, as did the American military in 1846. Tremendous views to be had into Colorado. Our ancestors took refuge there from Spanish retaliation in 1692, after the successful Pueblo Revolt.

Those are nothing less than spectacular, Paul!!

That does look like an alien planet, David. So different from here.

That cloud column looks like some sort of deity reaching down to touch the mountain peak.

I know nothing about deities.

It's kind of cold today; and, I've gotten a chill. Gotta stoke the pellet stove and make sure Baloo stays warm today inside. Cardio visit today in Santa Fe, so I'll be missing yous folks. There's a lot of warmth coming from your and everyone's comments.

I thought I saw a flash from Bill, but, short term memory kicked in and by the time I "snapped" it was gone, or maybe wasn't even there.

Love yous

Good Morning:

I considered #1 and #5. Both shots are difficult. #1 because you treat a shadow with huge conflict in background and it comes across very well. Nice.

Number 5 takes the exhibits because of its treatment of "pairs." That is so difficult.

Very, very nice.

David and Baloo
Thank you, Baloo - David, too.

Excellent, Ed. The shot of Brugges is very good!

Amazing! Where were they taken?

Those truly vast western skies never cease to capture my attention.

What a beautiful place, Den. #2 is really spectacular. I've never been there - it will probably take another life at this point because my (our) travel is going to be in the Moho (and they don't float), but I can still enjoy the island through your images. That's what photography, GOOD photography anyway, is all about.
