Hi,

if someone of you looks for financial justifications or whatever for our craziness: I made a calender out of some pics for to be send as attachment to christmas cards for friends. We ended up ordering 5 times new prints ... Sorry it is german, but it just says what it is, constellation and how far away. Normal people don't care for AP specs :-)

Great images - especially regarding the rather feeble focal lenghts used.

Find some of the images leaning towards magenta but that may be rooted in personal expectations and how I am used to see color in astronomical images...

Anyway - ausgezeichnet!

Same as Trollmanx, it leans a bit too much to the magenta for my taste, but the calendar is gorgeous nevertheless.

Where did you see the focal lengths used?

Gorgeous images either way, Stefan.

End of the post, 135 or 400mm :-)

Very good work. A quite different calendar to the usual.

Hi Stefan,

I wrote a comment here about your calendar 2 days ago but I returned today and I see that it was not posted for some reason, so I will write another one.

I really like the overall look and feel your astro calendar. There are so many interesting images that we up here in the Northern Hemisphere not not see. But as I have mentioned before, I especially like your Milky Way Rho Ophiuchus image which you have chosen as your cover. It's just fantastic! I can see why you keep going back to Namibia!

Best regards,
Rudy

thank you Rudy! for me this has become more and more spirituell which I like. I am preparing a talk for a confirmation class on creation and really feel it. I use a lot of mine and nasa pics and try to instill some awe about the miracles above. This is fascinating ...
That will be a great help to those who don't see this sort of thing often. Don't ever let the blinders of organized religion douse people's sense of wonder and curiosity.

At least it brings me some relief that the Catholic church doesn't disavow modern astrophysics or biological evolution, unlike others.

yes, bothered me sometime. this is common everywhere when narrowminded seeing dictates a dualistic view of the world. science is never a contradiction for me to belief.
