Hey,

I’m new to this so excuse me if it’s a funny question. :)

I am interested in the Fujifilm x-t3. It lacks IBIS and I would mostly use it for video. Does a gimball and a lens with stabilization make it good enough for video? Would it be possible to shoot fast paced travel videos with this gear?

X-t3 would be the perfect camera for me if it just had IBIS. I know x-h1 exists. Would it be better for me?

Depends. A 5 axis motorized gimbal to support the size and weight of XT3 and wide lens will be a good combo for 4K video and would do fast paced travel videos. But like any camera lens combo, you'll need to experiment to see what are the limitations of how fast you can move the camera.

I too would have been shooting a Fuji system if the XT3 had IBIS. But, I went with the Lumix G9 because of the EVF, IBIS, high speed 4K (slow motion) and 4K 60p without crop in for 4K. And selection of fast zooms that are small and designed for video as well as photo.

If you are not going to use a tripod skip on the Fuji. Otherwise you'll always be battling shaky footage. Beautiful shaky footage though. :)
