As I expect you know the D850 (and I presume Z7) does not focus shift with D type lenses.Nice. Too bad I have the 200 f4 micro :-(

I've tried with a afs 500mm f4 D and it works...All too well :-(As I expect you know the D850 (and I presume Z7) does not focus shift with D type lenses.Nice. Too bad I have the 200 f4 micro :-(
You mean that when you try to enable the focus shift feature in the menu it allows you to do so with the 500 f4 D mounted?I've tried with a afs 500mm f4 D and it works...All too well :-(As I expect you know the D850 (and I presume Z7) does not focus shift with D type lenses.Nice. Haven't seen any reason to try the focus shift feature with any of my D lenses since the most recent firmware update so I did and they still don't allow the focus shift feature so I doubt the 500 AFS D does allow the focus shift feature. If so, post some screens of the rig and the D850 menu and maybe some FSS images collected from the 500 D.You mean that when you try to enable the focus shift feature in the menu it allows you to do so with the 500 f4 D mounted?I've tried with a afs 500mm f4 D and it works...All too well :-(As I expect you know the D850 (and I presume Z7) does not focus shift with D type lenses.Nice. As expected. According to the manual, 'Use an AF-S or AF-P lens'. There is not mentioned any exeptions for D-lenses.I've tried with a afs 500mm f4 D and it works...All too well :-(As I expect you know the D850 (and I presume Z7) does not focus shift with D type lenses.Nice. I also tried with a 17-35mm AFS D. Ok I think I get it. It's the AFS feature that allows it to work with focus shift. My 200 D micro is screw drive (AF) and it's those lenses that won't allow focus shift photography.I also tried with a 17-35mm AFS D. Perhaps you have something in your configuration that doesn't make it work.
