Even at fast shutter speeds, it seems like I hear two distinct clicks. Any ideas like a setting?

I think I know what you mean. My X-T3 shutter definitely sounds different compared to my X-T1.No, single captures. I checked that first. Maybe I'm just not used to the shutter, but it definitely sounds like two separate sounds.
It "feels" a lot like the T2 compared to the T1, E3 and so forth. I.e. somehow more snappy and less clunky than those that only go to 1/4000. This was also my first thought. E.g. my 35 2.0 has a very distinct sound of the aperture closing, whereas the 18 2.0 is more silent in that respect (but it has the funny whirr-whirr focusing motorBecause the shutter is so quiet, you can probably hear the aperture adjustment
