Well. I have finished processing the remaining X-T2 photos taken in Paris late last month. A fitting "au revoir" to a camera that has served me well with the humble but eminently worthwhile 18-135mm lens for travel and general use. A few more yet to post online ... RAW converted and processed in Lightroom CC.

That said, I now can share some X-T3 photos taken recently, mainly wonderful Canadian Fall colors. The transition from the X-T2 was seamless with very little learning curve, except to turn off the touch feature on the LCD. More in the way than useful for me.

Focus and tracking (my main reason for upgrading), while not yet fully tested by me, do seem much better. Some winter birding in Florida will give the proof as to whether the X-T3 equals Nikon's excellent implementation.

RAW photos converted in Iridient X-Transformer to DNG and processed in Lightroom CC. 100-400mm, 55-200mm and 18-135mm lenses used. I do find the processing quite slow and do look forward to Lightroom support for X-T3.

Had a look at your Canadian Fall colours, but the link shows black and white pics.

I have spent a lot of time over the years in Paris, flatted in a Maoist outfit in the mid-70s, long hair, demonstrations and saw Star Wars I at a cinema in Montparnasse.

To come to the point: I don’t get your pics, sorry.

Nice Ontario shots John. I should really visit Chentenham badlands. Thanks for sharing.

Ditto. I have not yet figured out where the access to the Badlands is, especially since they limited where people can walk when there to protect the area from the rabble.

Looks like viewing is pretty restricted now!

"The Bruce Trail which runs through the property and the second area known as the 'badlands.'

You cannot gain access to the 'badlands' from the BTC Trail, nor can you see the 'badlands' from the trail.

Due to massive overuse, and a failure to follow the posted rules, the club has closed all trails connecting to the badlands.

Public access to the badlands is only available at the viewing area at the top of the badlands slope. Acccessbile from the road and parking area - no need to traverse sensitive areas!

Through signage, visitors are asked not to leave the viewing area at the top of the slope. Leaving the viewing area is no longer sanctioned.

The quarry is now off limits.

Geocaching is not allowed."

Sheesh!

Great description. Thankfully it's now protected. Limited parking. Best to go in early.

Thanks for posting these links and all the pics from the 2 cameras. That's a huge amount of shooting and processing work! The XT2 did great in Paris, I loved all the art work! I think I'd be happy with an XT2, do you see a marked increase in IQ with the XT3 now?

Thanks for the kind words about Paris. Took lots of Photos and always process RAW images. The LR alignment tool really helps me align images of art work. I don't honestly see a big difference in IQ. But focus and tracking does seem major and that was main reason for upgrade. Will have to wait for Florida for definitive assessment for birds as compared to Nikon. Now that LR CC has been released for X-T3, it makes a huge difference in processing.
