I've been tempted to buy an X-100F, or to wait for its successor. Ideally it'd have a 18mm lens, rather than 23, as I prefer a wider FoV. Given that the X-70 isn't being replaced and that the XF-10 is some way lower spec, I wondered whether this could signal the possibility that the next X-100x model could include a variant with the 18mm lens. Has anyone heard any rumours to this effect?

Actually that would be nice!

Love to see a wider version! Even a 16 would be for me. I really like the 24 (FF) wide angle.

Until it's there, you could try to find an X70.
I considered that, and am also thinking about the Ricoh GRIII and XF-10, but would ideally like a viewfinder. Am also pondering LX100 mk2, as I have the mk1.

1 in a million chance.

your best bet is the Ricoh GRIII or go back to the future with an X70.

you can also consider the LX100II. I have the LX100 mk1 and its quite handy as a porto/traveller, just doesn't do as well in low light with the old M43 sensor. still gives me what I need.

As long as it has a full frame sensor ;)

Ricoh GR III

Seems few believe there will be a version of the X-100 with 18mm. Pity! So am trying to decide between XF-10 (like the compactness and flash, shame no real dials or EVF), GRIII (compact, but no flash, dials or EVF) or the LX100 mk2 (like the EVF, dials, zoom, add-on flash, shame the sensor's so small, the body a bit too large for jeans pockets and the flash not integral). I'd be tempted by a used X70 but reviews are negative on the AF, and no EVF is a drag.

I hope one day they come out with a 35 (50mm equivalent) X100 camera. And I hope they actually give firmware updates to the X100F someday.

WCL or stand back a bit :-)

No rumor at all.... but if they make your 18mm version, I hope they make me a 35mm version.

Since my X100s had to be sent of to be fixed (My fault, slipped down some wet steps and fell on it) I have been using my X-E3 with my 18 mm/2.0 on it, about same size, perfectly workable. But I do like the idea of a X100 series with a 16/2.0 on it, would buy it immediately!

X100F is a very expensive camera. If Fuji makes cheaper XF10 better it would help lot more people :-)

LOL
